National JLD
Some useful information on the National JLD
The National JLD was launched in January 2008 for junior lawyers across England and Wales, merging
the TSG & the YSG to one group. The National JLD is a division of the Law Society representing
all student members of the Law Society enrolled through the SRA, trainees, and solicitors with up to five
years' active PQE.
The National JLD is overseen by an executive committee of volunteer members. It is chaired by
Heidi Sandy, a three -year PQE solicitor, 7 other committee members and three Law Society

Law Society Mentoring Scheme
Applications are now open for trainees and qualified solicitors to join
the Law Society Mentoring Scheme. The scheme supports junior lawyers by putting them in touch
with fellow solicitors who are able to provide advice and support on work related issues.

International Weekend
24 - 26 September the National JD is hosting international delegates for a programme of professional development events. This event offers delegates the chance to gain an insight into other juristictions
