We are delighted to announce that there are several positions that are open to join the Leeds JLD Committee for the year 2019/2020.
We are welcoming applications until the deadline of 30 June.
Please send a brief bio of yourself, including your name, firm/company where appropriate and about 300 words describing why you would like to join the committee/are applying for a particular role and a little bit about you! If you would like to apply for more than one position, please do so. Your bios will be sent out in July for members to vote.

The open positions are:
Events Officer x2
Organising and planning Leeds JLD events including liaising with Leeds venues for social events
Organising sponsorship for social events throughout the year and working to a budget
Liaising with local recruiters, law firms and educational institutions to secure sponsorship for events
Working and updating the Leeds JLD budget
Preparing and circulating invoices for the committee
Dealing with transfers and monitoring the Leeds JLD bank account
A representative for in house lawyers based in Leeds.
FELT rep (Firms with Eight or Less Trainees)
We invite trainees from smaller firms to hold this post who will organise social and networking events for trainees of small/high street firms throughout the year.
Keeping committee minutes at meetings and updating and circulating all calendars.
Liaising with Media officer to ensure website and social media updated as to membership and calendar updates.
Responsible for the JLD membership
