About the Event

Something Wicked this Way Comes…

The Leeds JLD Committee are pleased to announce the return of our annual Leeds JLD Ball!

When: 29 October 2021

Where: The Met Hotel, King St, Leeds LS1 2HQ

Arrival from 6pm onwards with a drinks reception, followed by a sit-down three course meal, DJ and dancing.

Rather than our usual Winter do, we’re hosting our event earlier this year in the run up to Halloween. This means that our event will be a little bit spookier than usual but we promise it won’t be anything too ghostly.

The event will remain black tie but there will be plenty of chances to have some Halloween fun with our amazing horror themed photobooth (to achieve those squad ghoul pics), decadent sweet stall (all treats – no tricks!), and on-theme live entertainment throughout the evening. This year’s event has been kindly sponsored again by Cape Clarke with the photobooth sponsored by Clarions Solicitors.

The menu for the event will be emailed to attendees shortly with food orders to be confirmed by 15 October 2021.

We have 120 tickets on sale now (with priority access for Leeds JLD members), so make sure to purchase tickets quick! Its £15 for JLD members and £35 for non-JLD members.

Let’s give ’em pumpkin to talk about.

PLEASE NOTE THE BELOW IF YOU ARE ATTENDING THE BALL:

Given the rising number of COVID-19 cases in the UK at the moment, we politely request that all attendees for the Ball either:

  • Have taken and had results of a negative lateral flow test within the 24 hours prior to the event; or
  • Have natural immunity based upon a positive PCR test within 180 days of arrival at the event (post the 10-day self-isolation period following the result).

Given the continuing pandemic situation, we want to try and ensure that our events can continue and be run as safely as possible. We thank you in advance for your co-operation.   We would also suggest that you take a lateral flow test a few days following the event, just to make sure!

Many thanks
