Last week the Leeds JLD held one of our most popular events – the annual Summer BBQ. Junior Lawyers from across Leeds and surrounding areas enjoyed socialising in the sunshine with drinks and delicious BBQ food.
The event was held at the Tetley and featured our own private outdoor bar, BBQ food for all guests and VERY delicious Northern Bloc ice cream (made in Leeds!).
There was a great turnout of over 50 people, both members and non-members, which included paralegals, students, barristers, trainees and NQ’s, meaning that everyone was able to do some great networking and meet lots of other fellow junior lawyers from across Leeds and West Yorkshire.
The charity raffle, which included prizes from Good Luck Club, Green & Field Florist, The Little Monk and North Star Coffee was a huge success and raised £236 for our charity of the year, Zarach. This money will help families in crisis rise up from surviving to thriving so that children can eat, sleep and learn.
